Chris Rogers is a former Fortune 500 brand and creative leader who too often found himself stuck in a meeting, on a project, or in traffic; always running late to pickup his kids. When he really needed help, he’d call a nearby mom. After years of building trust in other brands, Chris launched MomWgn so experienced moms can help others in their own communities.

MomWgn is a startup just getting started – we’re an on-demand transportation network for kids ages 6 to 17. Our drivers are all verified local moms available via text or app to drive your kids to school, music lessons, sports practice, tutoring, or wherever else they need to go. MomWgn combines technology with local operational excellence to create a trusted brand that kids and busy parents can depend on. And we bring the snacks.

1) Our Drivers Are All Local Moms

Experienced, safety certified, and neighborhood savvy. Our Moms have already done it. They’ve driven the routes for years, they know the right ways to get there safely, and they want to stay connected to their communities.

We provide healthy snacks (and drinks) to our riders. These are complimentary, although we will have ala carte options available for purchase.

Our local chapters are where the magic happens. More than just dispatch and operations, we’re developing vibrant community hubs where moms and parents can gather, share stories, and build lasting connections. Beyond our thoughtfully selected snack, you’ll find themed events, local partnerships, and a warm, welcoming culture that understands and celebrates the everyday chaos of families. HOW DOES MOMWGN WORK?
INTRODUCTORY PERIOD — We're starting to roll

Just text that number on our website! We couldn’t wait for the app so we’ve created a website where you can create a secure account and order rides via text. Your phone number is your ID, so every time you text us we’ll know it’s you.

Just tell us who needs a ride, where they need to be picked up, and where they need to go. We will contact the nearest momdriver and provide an ETA and price for the ride. Once confirmed we’ll send them on their way.

How to identify your ride? Just look for the smiling mom with a MomWgn logo on her car door. Your momdriver will greet all riders by name and will ask for the unique code word you chose upon registration.

Parents will get a text confirming pickup and once again when all passengers are safely dropped off at their destination.

Note: We do not have live tracking in this early stage (we’re just starting, remember?) but encourage the use of such 3rd party apps as Life360 and Carpin. 

Wait Time – No driver will leave a child alone, unless previously authorized for at-home deliveries. Drivers will wait with and for a child; a grace period of 3 minutes at pickup and dropoff will be in effect before the meter continues at .50/minute.

Real-time phone support – For parents and drivers, we will be available at the local MomWgn Chapter during all driving hours.

Local transportation only – Because MomWgn is designed for local Moms driving local routes, ride requests will be limited to a 12-mile radius from the local chapter. This keeps ride times to an average of 17-22 minutes maximum. (Exceptions may be processed on a per-request basis.)

How much does it cost? MomWgn rates compare favorably with Uber and Lyft. Our algorithm factors in time of day as well as ride time and distance into our calculations, but we do not charge surge pricing. And we don’t take tips.

Yes! There will be an App — MomWgn will soon be a purposefully uncomplicated, easy to use mobile platform.

  • Parents create an account and enter their contact and payment information, along with their children’s details, including desired to/from destinations.
    • Note: All data is encrypted; MomWgn follows strict guidelines in accordance with CCPA and other privacy laws. Payment processing is fully PCI-DSS compliant. 
  • Kids may have access on their parents account, per parental authorization. This includes limits on ride usage and destinations as determined by the parents.
  • Because this is intended for use by children as young as 6, the App will be very simple.
    • However, kids do not need access to a cellphone to use MomWgn. Parents may schedule or summon a ride for them.
  • In either case, the MomWgn App will provide a pickup and drop off text as well as live tracking of their journey.
  • Rides can be scheduled or spontaneous (on demand.) Only parents or authorized children may order a ride.
  • MomWgn will offer single rider destination and carpool options.
  • Signing kids out of school – MomWGN will be recognized on school sign-out, ProCare, BrightWheel, or other childcare management App.
  • Driver Profiles – When parents open the app, they’ll see a map with active drivers. Driver profiles appear in a side menu. Parents may choose a driver based on familiarity, ratings and location. 
  • Driver/Rider ratings system – While we may utilize a five-star rating system, we will use contextual prompts to arrive at a rating. Riders will be able to choose phrases such as “on-time pickup,” “driver was very nice,” or “didn’t like the snack.” Drivers may utilize the same text-based system to rate their passengers, from “very polite” to “quiet and shy” to “a little rambunctious.” Chosen phrases are aggregated and transformed into a star rating. 

How do riders pay? Parents sign into our secure web-based platform, entering credit card info via Stripe Payments. Prices are comparable to Uber or local taxis.

  • MomWgn will offer a pay-per-ride option as well as monthly subscriptions.
  • Note – There will be NO tipping. We don’t want to put that burden on kids.
